MTSU GREEK ROW FRATERNITY HOUSES, MURFREESBORO,
TENNESSEE This project included the master planning of a Greek Row and the
design of eight fraternity houses. The "Row" was developed as a crescent-shaped
community responding to the curve of the adjacent ball fields. The crescent,
offering a perceivable holistic grouping, is reinforced by the treed arcades,
curved streets and sidewalks and build-to lines. The overall architectural
intent of Greek Row is to provide individuality and identity for each chapter
while creating a continuity of scale, proportion, materials and details. The
custom designed houses were developed independently with each fraternity and
integrated into a harmonious "Row" for the University and the Tennessee Board of
Regents. Awards.
