VANDERBILT UNIVERSITY
HIGHLAND AVENUE OFFICE BUILDING, NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE
Vanderbilt University needed a "build to suit" Class A office
building located just outside the core of the Medical Center.
The primary façade includes a sweeping glass curtainwall
form and the remainder of the building is clad in two tones
of taupe-colored, flame-finished granite and precast concrete
with accents of black and aluminum. The pedestrian scaled
covered entry levels invite visitors into two-story lobbies
with terrazzo floors, wood panel walls and silver leaf ceilings.
The building is state-of-the-art from the mechanical and electrical
systems to the structural bays, spaced around standard workstation/office
designs to accommodate tenant reconfigurations.
