CRACKER BARREL OLD COUNTRY STORE, INC., HEADQUARTERS, LEBANON, TENNESSEE Everton Oglesby Architects worked in a design-build partnership with RP Industries to transform this basic metal warehouse into offices and employee training facilities. The building's exterior was dramatically changed to be more compatible with the corporate campus. A second floor was added, exterior walls rebuilt with brick, and new hipped roofs built over the existing metal. A large exterior courtyard in the center of the building provides light for interior offices and an inviting, landscaped space for staff. Two large brick towers frame the entry and define the lofty space of the lobby which contains a monumental stair and a light steel bridge spanning the space between the towers. Awards.
