HISTORIC GAINESBORO FOX SCHOOL , GAINESBORO,
TENNESSEE
EOA Architects along with the City of Gainesboro, Tennessee,
plan to carry out the preservation/rehabilitation and
restoration of the Historic Fox School building, built
in 1930 and listed on the National Register of Historic
Places. Performed through a grant secured by the Jackson
County Historical Society, the first phase of work consisted
of assessment of the existing condition of the current
facility along with recommendations for stabilization
of the building. The construction for the stabilization
phase scope of work is currently under contract. Later
phases of work will include plans for the future renovation
and re-use of the building as other funds become available.
