CHATTANOOGA FEDERAL
COURTHOUSE FEASIBLITY STUDY, CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE
This GSA commissioned Feasibility Study involved the identification
and detailed analysis of viable alternatives to meet the projected
needs of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District
of Tennessee (which includes the U.S. Bankruptcy Court) in
Chattanooga, Tennessee, as suggested by 10-year and 30-year
housing plans. The District Court is housed in the Joel W.
Solomon Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse (Solomon Building).
The Bankruptcy Court is housed in leased space formerly known
as the Old Post Office and Courthouse (Old Post Office). U.S.
Attorney’s Office (USAO) is currently housed in leased space,
Warehouse Row. The Feasibility Study culminated in a recommendation
of the preferred alternative to house the Court based on functional,
technical, and economic criteria.
