OWEN GRADUATE SCHOOL
OF MANAGEMENT, VANDERBILT UNIVERSITY
This project began with a master plan to identify this growing
school’s short- and long-range needs. Master plan implementation
has been phased over the last 11 years. The initial project
provided a showcase classroom with integrated computer technology.
Subsequent work included renovations to all 6 of Owen’s original
classrooms with executive style millwork, integrated lighting
and current technology. Other projects included complete renovation
of the Admissions and Placement Suite to provide an upscale
corporate image to prospective students and employers, addition
of faculty offices to create a third floor addition and renovations
of the computer center, student lounge, study spaces and the
atrium. During summer 2006, Owen’s Walker Library received
a complete overhaul with the addition of study spaces, compact
shelving, a new circulation desk and new finishes throughout.
The latest renovations reinvented the Executive MBA classroom
areas in the Old Mechanical Building–an 1800’s structure on
the national historic registry and part of the business school
building. |
