CENTER, EAKIN SCHOOL, NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE The project involves the renovation of the original Eakin Elementary School (33,711 square feet) built in 1935, and the addition of approximately 12,022 square feet of new construction, all of which will provide the Metro School District with a new Teacher Training Facility. The program includes 9-typical classrooms, 4-larger technology classrooms, and a 7,650 square foot presentation room, which will be dividable into 4-smaller spaces. Support and administration spaces such as a conference room, employee workrooms, offices, storage, new restrooms, and an employee break room are located in both the new addition and the existing facility. A new interior fire stair, 2 new metal fire stairs, and an elevator complete the program requirements. |
