LaVERGNE PUBLIC
LIBRARY, LaVERGNE, TENNESSEE Like many communities, the City of LaVergne built a main library several years ago which no longer fulfilled the needs of its residents. This 23,000 square foot structure provides state of the art technology in a comfortable "den-like" atmosphere, which makes it not only a great resource and learning center, but also a great place to "just spend time and read a book." Children are still a big part of this library's users and an area responsive to their needs was provided. Community spaces for adults, teenagers and children were part of the program. Our intent was to develop a design that would attract them all and meet their needs for at least the next twenty years. Awards. Awards. |
