TRAILKILL RESIDENCE
HALL, BELMONT UNIVERSITY, NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE
Thrailkill Residence Hall, located on the campus of Belmont
University, was planned in 2004 to accommodate increasing
enrollment at the University The project, completed in 2008,
is a 330-bed residence hall with an adjacent 451 space parking
structure, which was integrated beneath and along side the
building. Each room houses two students, with each pair of
rooms sharing a bathroom between them. There is a resident
advisor room on each floor and a resident family apartment,
along with common areas, classrooms, and laundry facilities.
Thrailkill Hall, the second dormitory built in three years,
fine-tuned the model of the first dormitory, Kennedy Hall,
to yield a project that did an even more effective job of
fostering community around the goal of Belmont’s Residence
Life division: the integration of faith and learning.
