BRUIN HILLS RESIDENCE HALL, BELMONT UNIVERSITY, NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE
Bruin Hills Residence Hall, located on the southeast corner of the current Bruin Hills apartment complex on the campus of Belmont University, was planned in late 2010 along with a 5 year master plan for several additional Residence Halls in this area to once again accommodate increasing enrollment at Belmont. The project, to be completed in the fall of 2012, is a 298-bed suite-style residence hall sitting above a 562 space parking structure, which was integrated into the sloping rock strata behind the building. In recognition of the latest trends in campus housing nation-wide, each suite houses four to five students, with each having individual bedrooms sharing a living room, kitchen and bathroom between them. There is a resident advisor room on each floor and a resident family apartment, along with common areas, and laundry facilities.

Bruin Hills Residence Hall, the third of what may ultimately be seven new residence halls in this area of campus continues to fine-tune the model of the first dormitory, Kennedy Hall, with the noticeable exception of this being designed for upper classmen in suite style configurations rather than the typical dormitory style of the previous residence halls for Belmont’s Residence Life division.
